A smarter workplace starts here, with Copilot WorkIQ
Last week at Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft announced Work IQ, the new shiny intelligence layer inside Microsoft 365 that teaches Copilot how your business operates, who works with whom, which files and meetings matter, and how projects move from idea to impact. Work IQ blends three building blocks, your work data, a memory of your preferences and inference that predicts next-best actions. Do your Copilot conversations feel generic? As if it’s giving you the same responses as everyone else? Work IQ adds a more personal touch to both you, and your business, understanding how you both work.
With WorkIQ, Copilot can now connect the dots across documents, conversations, and meetings to surface insights and suggestions right when they’re needed. The first few releases of Copilot lacked context, with this new intelligence layer it now feels more like a colleague who’s been a part of every project, been involved in every meeting and read every file.
As explained above, WorkIQ involves the three building blocks:
How does this show up in daily work? New Word, Excel, and PowerPoint agents work with you drafting, refining, and structuring deliverables with your context in mind. It can also offer predictive help, as you build a deck or write a brief, Copilot can actively pull the latest notes, files, and decisions related to that specific project without any manual searching. It also offers Teams-aware collaboration, turning prompts into group-aware chats, bringing the right agents and information into the conversation.
Start by enabling Copilot in key workflows, define agent use cases with desirable outcomes and align data access policies before rolling out custom agents. As we have all learnt since the release of Copilot, the right user adoption plan is essential and we at Nabra Tech are here to help you along your journey to a successful AI adoption plan.
