DOPE Male Performance Company (DMPC) has grown from a local initiative into a nationally recognised dance group, giving boys & young men the confidence, training, & opportunities to express themselves through movement.

What Is DMPC?

DMPC is a male-focused performance & dance company rooted in hip-hop, contemporary movement, & theatrical storytelling. Based at the historic Crewe Lyceum Theatre, the company provides training & performance opportunities for boys aged 8 up to young adults.

They’re known for:

• High-energy, expressive performances
• Original choreography & creative productions
• A strong focus on teamwork, discipline, & confidence-building
• Performances across the UK, from large theatre festivals to national youth dance platforms

DMPC not only trains young performers — it helps shape future artists, leaders, & collaborators.

What DMPC Does

Weekly Training

Members take part in structured dance training led by professional choreographers. Sessions focus on:

• Hip-hop foundations
• Creative improvisation
• Performance technique

National Performances

DMPC has proudly taken the stage at various major platforms & festivals across the country. Their shows combine storytelling, physical theatre, & dance in ways that leave a long-lasting impact on audiences.

A Pathway for Ambitious Young Performers

DMPC is more than an after-school activity, it’s a gateway into the world of dance & theatre. Many members go on to pursue further training or performance opportunities after growing up within the company, with the original cohort all now professionals within the performing arts industry.
